TIGERS YOUTH SOFTBALL PLAYER PARTICIPATION POLICY

Player participation:  The primary objective of the Northwestern program is to provide our version of the best possible fastpitch softball experience to the youth of our district.  The program provides a high level of play and instruction, as well as a consistently challenging and fun experience for our players.  We are committed to providing excellent coaching and player development.  Playing time will not be equal.  If I have issues with the policies of the coach, I will first talk to that coach in an environment other than a practice or game.   Parents are strongly encouraged to spend time outside of practices and games to develop you’re the skill level of the player.  This may be in the form of parent/child home workouts, clinics, camps, private coaches, practicing with multiple teams, playing at differing age levels, etc.

TIGERS YOUTH SOFTBALL PARENT WORK POLICY

I understand that the Tiger Softball program is a high-level program regarding both summer league teams and tournament travel teams. I also understand there is a $______ registration/participation fee. In addition, there are work responsibilities for all parents to be completed during our Tigers summer softball season and/or the high school season. Monies made from the concession stand aspect will be utilized for ballfield improvement projects. I understand that I will need to write a separate check for $100 as a parental work shift deposit. That check will not be cashed and will be returned once the parents work shift obligation has been completed. If the parents work obligation has not been met by the end of the summer season the $100 check will be deposited into the N.W. Youth Softball account
Required Parental Work hours are as follows:

One child - 4hours
Two children - 5 hours
Three + children - 6 hours

Parental work hours can be completed by working in the concession stand, spring setup/cleanup, assistant coaching, fall take down/cleanup, facility development projects and others as approved.

Possible exemptions from parental work responsibilities include:

_____ Head Coordinator of one of the softball fundraisers
_____ Service to the Brule Ballfield projects or maintenance
